In the factory setting the CEHR carries out a heat reduction at
night (economy period) in automatic mode.
6:00 h Beginning of the heating period, heating to 21 °C
22:00 h Beginning of the economy period, lowering to 16 °C
Heating and economy periods are freely adjustable.
The CEHR makes two further switching times available so that
two heating and economy periods per day can be set.
See "Adjusting settings".
Too hot or too cold? You can also change the temperature in
automatic mode with the rotary knob at any time. You can follow
the change of the setting in the display.
The setting applies up until the next programmed heating or
economy period.
The rotary button does not have a limit stop.
During turning the following settings are displayed:
Display Setting
Radiator valve closed, frost protection active
Current heating temperature (poss. adjustment range)
Radiator valve fully open
The CEHR also "thinks" with the following functions:
Frost protection
If the temperature drops below 4 °C, the CEHR opens the
radiator valve until the temperature rises above 6 °C again.
In this way, the CEHR prevents the radiator from freezing.
The symbol
flashes as soon as frost protection is activated.
Frost protection only works with the operating unit attached.
Window function
If you open a window so that the temperature at the radiator
controller drops notably for more than 3 minutes, the radiator
controller closes the radiator valve in order to save energy.
The message
is displayed.
When the temperature rises again – but no later than after
30 minutes – the radiator controller resumes normal operation.
The window function can be stopped at any time by pressing the
PROG
button or by turning the rotary knob.
Valve protection
In order to protect the valve against calcification it is opened every
Monday afternoon.
The message
is displayed.
Summer/winter time
The CEHR will switch between summer (daylight savings time)
and winter time automatically.
Battery change display
flashes
The batteries are almost empty. The CEHR is still active. You
should insert new batteries as soon as possible.
is displayed continuously
The batteries are empty. The CEHR is no longer active and the
heating valve is opened (frost protection).
